Scope of application
Our general terms and conditions apply to all courses, events, trail rides and occasions of extremtrail.ch.
If you book for a trail in US or Canada with extremtrail.ch or Peter van der Gugten, your are booking under Swiss laws and regulations.

Registrations are only valid with online registration and receipt of payment 60 days prior to departure. If a ride is fully booked, you will be put on a waiting list. This does not give you any right to participate.

Withdrawal
The following conditions apply to rebookings or cancellations for
rides of 6 days or more:
Up to 60 days before departure: CHF 30 processing fee
60 days - 30 days before departure: 50% of the costs
30 days – day of departure: 100% of the costs
unless an equivalent replacement (rider and horse) can be provided.

For all other services:
Up to 30 days before the start: CHF 30 processing fee
30 days – 14 days before the start: 50%
14 days – 1 day before the start: 80%
1 day before the start: 100%
unless an equivalent replacement (rider and horse) can be provided.

Payments are to be made in CHF. Currency differences are at the expense of the participant.

The riding costs include the riding guide, overnight accommodation and half board.
Lunch and drinks must be paid for separately.

Travel cancellation insurance
In order to avoid any costs that may arise, we recommend that all guests take out cancellation insurance. If a course/trekking is prematurely abandoned by a participant, or if the guest wishes to cancel the ride at short notice due to bad weather, there is no right to a refund of the remaining amount. We reserve the right to change the program.

Exclusion
The instructions of the Guide must be followed.

A rider can be excluded if:
- he repeatedly refuses or is unable to follow instructions
- he disregards the basic rules of riding in groups
- he or his horse endangers other riders or horses
- if a horse or rider does not meet the physical or mental requirements.
A full or partial refund of the paid travel costs is not possible.

Helmet
Young people under the age of 18 are obliged to wear a helmet.

Insurance
We do not cover accidents. Please check your accident insurance. Are riding accidents or accidents with horses included? We do not assume any liability for the personal equipment of the participants. For rides in Switzerland, a flight rescue insurance policy is taken out for the horse.

Data protection
The provider is obliged to treat personal data and information confidentially and not to pass it on to third parties. An exception to this is the transfer of data to employees and business partners for the purpose of conducting business or providing services. The provider collects, processes and uses the data in accordance with Swiss data protection law.
Likewise, the participant is obliged to treat information about other participants confidentially.

Photos
The provider uses photos from training and trail rides on their own website or Facebook on which participants may be recognized. If this has happened against the will of a person, he/she can ask the provider to remove his/her person from the picture. Further and own claims cannot be asserted.

Shop
Items sold in the shop can be exchanged in return for postage reimbursement. Return postage is at the expense of the customer. Reimbursement is possible. Excluded are saddle bags, horn bags and Cantlebags.
